Comment: A first-rate account of a gathering of internationally-acclaimed soloists for a performance of a classic chamber piece. This film makes you realize just how FUN making music can be... it's clear the performers have as much respect for each other as they do for one of Schubert's best-loved works. Comment: Anyone who has seen the new movie Hilary and Jackie should watch the genuine Jacqueline duPre in action, at age 24, playing Schubert's Trout Quintet with young Itzhak] Perlman, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Barenboim and Pinchas Zuckerman. Watching this old video will convince you what a marvelous actress plays Jacqueline in Hilary and Jackie. Does anyone know if this is available on Laser Disc.
