Summary: Great work both musically and technically
Comment: This is a wonderful disc and I agree with the previous reviewer that it is a great example of the possibilities 5.1 brings to the music listening experience. I own about 35 music DVDs or SACDs and this one definitely ranks high on the list of the best. Some 5.1 discs play around with the surround sound capability and some like this one utilize it to recreate the concert hall experience. I feel sorry for the person that bought this disc thinking that DVD implied video but perhaps now they will read up on the musical use of this medium. Should't have rated it so low because they didn't know what they were buying.

Summary: DVD Audio implies AUDIO
Comment: I bought this disk as my introduction into symphonic DVD-AUDIO. It sounds fantasic. Excellent DEMO material. A few, of the few, DVD-AUDIO disks available may be a little gimmicky, but this disk demonstrates how beneficial 5 channel is to music reproduction. The soundstage is giant, surrounds are only used for ambience. Its very well done. My stereo recordings sound weak and distant in comparision.

Comment: I bought this disc because I like watching Bolero being performed. There is no video on the disc. Every performance is accompanied by a still picture of the conductor. The publisher is aptly named Erato.
