Customer Rating: Summary: Ralph Moeller is the man!! Comment: This is an amazing collection of the action packed series conan! Great actors (Ally Dunne alone makes this worth the cost)!
The only downside is that a few episodes from the original series may be missing. However, this DVD collection is rare and well worth the cost.
I give this a five star rating!
It is good to see Ralph Moeller in a leading role as a hero!
Customer Rating: Summary: Very entertaining Sword & Sorcery series Comment: Of course, this isn't real Conan, but the series was made also for 13-year olds. The result is a very entertaining Sword & Sorcery series in the tradition of Hercules, Xena, Robin Hood or Sinbad.
The action is great, the landscapes beautiful and some of the typical fantasy-stereotypes often make you laugh.
One more thing: In every episode you can expect a new beautiful lady to appear!
Customer Rating: Summary: Heart of the Elephant Comment: Short of reading the miniseries by Marvel....
This is the best "adaptation" of the "Heart of the Elephant" that you will find...
AND.....
"Heart of the Elephant".....is....what "sword and sorcery" stories..are all about.
'nuff said.....buy it.
Customer Rating: Summary: correction.... Comment: In my previous review I meant to say: "This doesn't mean there ISN'T plenty of Conan related entertainment that delivers a fun experience". The point I was trying to make is that Conan has been featured in various forms of media over the years and still remained highly entertaining. This more family friendly TV series is a great example of that. It's fine for younger viewers and older Conan fans too (if you don't take it too seriously). Great series!
Customer Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE FUNNEST DVD SETS THERE IS! Comment: The continuing adventures of Conan are often quite different from what Robert Howard wrote. This is true of Conan's further literary, animated, film, comic book, and TV adventures. This doesn't mean there is plenty of Conan related entertainment that delivers a fun experience. I'm a fan of Howard's work and I enjoy Conan in various forms too. The reviewer who claims that the Arnold movies are "true" Howard is maistaken. The story told in Arnold's Conan movies is VERY DIFFERENT from what Howard wrote. Neither movie remains true to Howard's writings but they are fun. So is this series. It's more kid friendly than the films but it's still a great blast of fun. The cast is awesome and it's a wonderful DVD set. A+!

This action-packed fantasy takes place twelve thousand years ago, an undreamed-of age before recorded history filled with fantastic kingdoms across an uncharted world. An age of superstition and myth populated by mystical wizards and menacing creatures, this Hyborian Age spawned a true hero, Conan. With the aid of ragtag warriors Otli, Bayu and Zzeban, he quests to free his homeland from the rule of an all-powerful sorcerer and deals with beautiful, fiery bandit queen Karella. This special box set of the entire series provides dazzling, sword-swinging entertainment for the entire family.
