Summary: Farewell Hercules and Iolaus
Comment: There is no real reason why this final season of "Hercules" should have been made, except to serve as a farewell to the characters that we came to know and love over the previous five seasons of its airing. This season only comprises eight episodes, with no continuing storyline to hold them together, but which serve to allow viewers to see some of their series favourites one last time. Episodes in this season feature appearances by Autolycus (Bruce Campbell), Aphrodite (Alexandra Tydings) and Ares (Kevin Smith), although Salmoneous, Morrigan and Nebula are all, sadly, missing.

The storylines of the episodes aren't bad, with all of them being average or above average. The stand-out best episode is one in which Autolycus runs into his ex-wife, Luscious Deluxe (Traci Lords), and gets accused of robbing the First National Bank of Greece. Other story lines include a story about vampire; one set in Egypt and featuring Queen Nephritite; and a rip-off of "The Craft". The final episode itself was probably my least favourite of the season. This episode focuses on Hercules and his relationship with Zeus and Hera, and it is let down by a lot of bad-acting and a dodgy, overly sentimental, script. Still, it least it's a better finale than that of "Xena".

Overall, I finished watching this season of "Hercules" with a feeling of satisfaction. I didn't regret watching these episodes and having seen them, I was left with a feeling of wanting more, but more in the sense that I wanted to go back and re-watch the earlier episodes, not in the sense that I want to see more episodes made, and that's the best way for any TV series to end.

Summary: Cheesy but good...
Comment: Okay I am a Hercules (well, Kevin Sorbo) fan, have been for a long time. So I like the whole series, but they could have added on a few more episodes with this one. There's only eight episodes total, and the rest is extras, behind the scenes and so forth. The last episodes are really good though, at least at that you will not be disappointed.

Comment: This was the best Television Series EVER! I dont even care that one or two of the episodes really stank. It is Hercules! I give it 3 stars!

Summary: Final Season
Comment: I love this show. The last season was short but worth buying on DVD. I would have given the show 5 stars if it has been a complete season, otherwise, I have no complaints.

Comment: 1. Be Deviled--Hercules meets Sin (who is responsible for the souls of those who are too bad even for Tartarus and who looks just like Serena). She has released Xerxos to help her catch Hercules who she wants in her realm. Xerxos wants to see his sister Arciana who is looking for the sword of Hera. Sin and Hercules combine forces in order to catch Xerxos. *

2. Love, Amazon Style--Aphrodite and Hephaestus have split up and causing Aphrodite's powers to go a little haywire. To liven things up, Aphrodite has the man- hating Amazons waiting hand and foot on the men of the village. Deimos is using the Amazons to look for the Chronos Stone which would give him more power than Zeus.

3. Rebel with a Cause--Hercules arrives in Thebas to discover Oedipus is no longer king. Oedipus is upset because he discovered that his wife is also his mother. Creon, Oedipus' brother, has stolen the throne from Oedipus. Antigone is the only hope to restore peace to Thebas as she is the rightful heir.

4. Darkness Visible--Hercules is summoned to Dacia to help his old comrade, Prince Vlad to fight the Strigoi (vampires). Galen goes along to look for his sister. Hercules discovers that Vlad has been turned into a vampire. Hercules must kill Vlad in order to restore all the other Strigoi to humans.

7. A Wicked Good Time--Lilith's and Jason's daughter, Seska, has graduated the Academy and is having a hard time adjusting. Discord is creating a coven of witches and recruits the unhappy Seska. Hercules is put on trial for being a warlock.

8. Full Circle--Hercules and Iolaus pay Nemesis a visit and discover Zeus has taken Evander away from her. Hercules teaches Evander how to help people with his powers instead of being destructive. Zeus uses Evander to release Hera from the Abyss of Tartarus where Hercules has sent her because he misses her. He also releases the Titan from the Abyss. Ares helps the Titans release Atlas (their brother) so they can destroy Olympus.

Editorial Reviews:

The Final Season: Why is Aphrodite riding naked through the countryside like Lady Godiva? Why are the man- hating Amazons waiting hand and foot on the men of the village? Did Autolycus really rob the first bank of Greece? How can Hercules and Iolaus kill off an army of the undead if that army is already dead? Spell-stricken Amazons, bloodthirsty vampires, and a feuding Queen Nefertiti are among the eclectic band of characters Hercules faces until he and his faithful friend and side-kick, Iolaus, march off into the sunset in the poignant series finale of the Sixth Season, "Full Circle
