Customer Rating: Summary: Ustinov is the only Poirot Comment: Thoroughly enjoyed the product. Peter Ustinov is the only Hercule in my opinion. Did not realize that these DVD's were from the television series.
Customer Rating: Summary: Agatha Christie Collection featuring Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot Comment: You are in good company wth Peter Ustinov as the impeccable Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot. This series is a wonderful addition to any home movie collection.
Customer Rating: Summary: Agatha Christie Collection Comment: Peter Ustinov is wonderful as Hercule Poirot. I have all the Hercule Poirot movies that he made and love each one. If you are a Peter Ustinov and Hercule Poirot fan you will love these also. Agatha Christie would be proud to see Peter Ustinov portray Hercule Poirot.
Customer Rating: Summary: Second-rate Poirot films, but still enjoyable Comment: As other reviewers have said, these made-for-TV adaptations of Agatha Christie's books cannot measure up to such theatrically released films as Death on the Nile, Murder on the Orient Express or Evil Under the Sun: the production values are lower, the dialogues are not as witty and the casts are not as strong. But taken on their own, they're still quite enjoyable. Ustinov may not be as accurate a Poirot as David Suchet, but he is always very entertaining to watch. Agatha Christie completists need to have this set, but for casual viewers it is not essential.
Customer Rating: Summary: Alas, made for TV movies... Comment: Slow on the intake I guess. Wondering why I had not heard of these titles, I was curious. All TV movies apparently. On that note, all were watchable, but not the quality I am accustomed to for Peter Ustinov AG movies. Buy at your own risk...

Editorial Reviews:

You're in good company with Hercule Poirot (Peter Ustinov), Agatha Christie's impeccable Belgian sleuth who's always at his best at chic soirees where the hospitality is warm...and the corpses are cold. Match wits with the master in this full-course banquet of mystery involving a country-house game of murder turned real (Dead Man's Folly), a move star turned amateur detective (Murder in Three Acts), and a dinner part turned deadly (Thirteen at Dinner). Bon appetit!
