Customer Rating: Summary: Pretty Boring Comment: With a Will Ferrell movie you pretty much know what to expect. And with John Heder you get basically the same guy in every movie. This, however, was so far below part that it was painful to watch. I didn't want to finish it but I did in the hopes that it would somehow, somewhere along the way get better. If you compare it to Anchorman or Napoleon Dynamite you are sure to be sorely disappointed. This just wasn't a funny movie.
Customer Rating: Summary: On Thin Ice Comment: Like Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - which put a laugh track on NASCAR - Will Ferrell takes a comedic shot at a "misunderstood" sport, but this time having a rival to slide the shtick around the rink.
Ferrell plays the flamboyant Chaz Michael Michaels, whose bitter feud with Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) leads to an altercation that earns them a lifetime competition ban in men's figure skating. Both fall on hard times, but a loophole in the banishment permits them to compete in pair's skating. And - you guessed it - Michaels and McElroy team up to stage a remarkable comeback on the world stage.
With skating legends like Sasha Cohen, Peggy Fleming, Dorothy Hamill and Scott Hamilton making appearances, the film parallels Talladega Nights (numerous NASCAR-associated personalities made cameos) in bringing a "realistic" twist to the wackiness.
But no matter the venue, there is a predictability in the script that keeps the action gingerly trying to locate solid footing while stumbling around on thin ice.
Customer Rating: Summary: Beyond Stupid Comment: This movie blows, they try too hard to be funny and aren't. What more can I say.
Customer Rating: Summary: Blades Of Glory, Corny But Boring Comment: This movie started well, but went down hill fast. It is one of just a few that I did not even finishwatching, but forced myself through most of it. Not worth the effort to buy.

When rival figure skaters Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) go ballistic in an embarrassing, no-holds-barred fight at the World Championships, they are stripped of their gold medals and banned from the sport for life. Now, three-and-a-half years on, they’ve found a loophole that will allow them to compete: if they can put aside their differences, they can skate together – in pairs’ figure skating
